SCR metering module
The SCR metering module is secured in the exhaust system before the SCR catalytic converter. The SCR metering module is activated by the SCR control unit.
The Digital Diesel Electronics (DDE) sends the request with the calculated volume of AdBlue and the release to the SCR control unit via the powertrain CAN. AdBlue is metered depending on the load (flow rate and exhaust-gas temperature), the temperature profile and the load profile.
The SCR metering module comprises the injector and a cooling system. The cooling system reduces the heat transfer from the exhaust gas to the injector.
