Diagnosis instructions

Fault recognition for the drive for luggage compartment lid Soft Close Automatic is only possible to a limited degree, as the drive cannot be activated directly and read out by the junction box electronics (JBE).

The junction box electronics can only detect a fault status. No distinction can be made as to whether a defect in the luggage compartment lock, a short circuit to ground or a mechanical jamming of the luggage compartment lock is involved.

As the drive for Soft Close Automatic is not directly connected to the junction box electronics (JBE), there are diagnosis jobs available for activation and status inquiry of the drive for Soft Close Automatic.

In the event of a fault, the drive for Soft Close Automatic must be checked according to the circuit diagram.
