Multiple restraint system: Notes

The multiple restraint system (MRS) of the 7th generation is a continuous enhancement of the multiple restraint systems in BMW vehicles.

The MRS has the following tasks:

• Detecting an accident situation that is critical for the occupants
• Activating the necessary restraint systems (selectively depending on the severity of the accident and accident type)
