52 17... Replacing upholstery for front seat thigh support

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove THIGH SUPPORT

NOTE: Graphic shows versions with climate control and seat heating.
Lever out cover welt in area (2).

Installation note:

Cover welt is fastened by hooks in cover (3).

Remove plug connections (4) and feed out through cover (3).

Remove cover (3) from upholstery and cover (1).

Version with seat heating or climate control:

Feed out cable (1) and remove upholstery (2).

Installation note:

Ensure correct cable routing (1).

Version with climate control:

Remove separating net (1).
Lift out fan (2).

Move the thigh support (1) completely to the front.

Raise latch mechanisms in succession from A to D, pulling the thigh support (1) forward at the same time.

Installation note:

Insert support for thigh support in correct position in the guide and lock.

Detach welt (1) from metal tabs.

Detach welt from support for thigh support.

Remove the mounting plate and foam part of the thigh support.
