12 90 100 Replacing fan for electronics box (N52)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT: Follow instructions for removing and installing electronic control units.

Unlock cover (1) with slide (3).

Unfasten screws (2).

Remove electronics box cover (1).

Installation: 

Engage electronics box cover (1) correctly in hinges.

Security version: 

Remove DME armour plating.

Disconnect plug connections (1 to 6).

Remove DME control unit.

Unlock plug connection (1) on fan for electronics box and disconnect.

Release screws (2) on device carrier.

Lift out device carrier (2).

Unlock vent duct (1) and remove in direction of arrow.

Remove cover (2) in direction of arrow.

Unscrew nuts.

Pull device holder (1) approx. 3 cm towards rear.

Remove air duct (1) from device holder (2).

Turn connecting piece (1) to right and remove.

Release screws and remove fan (1) in upwards direction.

Check function of DME.
