86 10 ... Replacing drawbar members, left and right

NOTE: Disassembly of overrunning equipment, refer to 86 10 ... Disassembly of overrunning equipment .

Remove complete brake pull rod.

Removal of position light cable, refer to 86 10 ... Replacing license plate light .

Release screws (1) on cross-member (2). Pull out crossmember (2) towards rear.

Installation:

For tightening torque refer to 86 10 16AZ in 86 10 PLATFORM .

Release countersunk head screws (1) and remove.

Installation:

For tightening torque refer to 86 10 3AZ in 86 10 PLATFORM .

Remove cable holder (1) and remove wiring harness (2) from drawbar member (3).

Remove cable (1) from position light housing (2). Pull out cable (1) through drawbar member aperture (3).

Release all screws on cross-member (1) and remove cross - member (1).

If necessary, release screws on mounting brackets (2) and remove cross-members (3).

Installation:

Use new self-locking nuts.

For tightening torque refer to 86 10 17AZ in 86 10 PLATFORM .

Unscrew bolt (1). Grip nut from rear through assembly hole (2) in cross-member.

Installation:

Use new self-locking nuts.

For tightening torque refer to 86 10 18AZ in 86 10 PLATFORM .

Tilt drawbar member (1) down in direction of arrow A and pull out towards rear in direction of arrow B.
