Split screen display on Control Display
A split screen display on the Control Display is possible if the rear entertainment system is not installed.
Television and navigation can be displayed on the Control Display at the same time. The video module sends the television data to the navigation computer. Data for television and navigation are mixed. The navigation computer then sends the data to the Control Display via the RGB wire. The Control Display separates the data again for the split screen display.
This is not possible on vehicle with the rear entertainment system. The navigation data are sent to the video module via a RGB wire. The drive video module is not able to mix these data. The signals from the navigation computer or DVD changer are duplicated and sent to the front and rear. This means that only one function can be shown for each display.
