Universal Transmitter: Programming

1. Turn the ignition key to position 2
2. To clear any previous codes or for initial use: press and hold both outside channel keys until the indicator lamp flashes and then release.
3. Hold the original hand-held transmitter toward the receiver a maximum of 2 inches away.
4. Press the transmitter button of the original device and at the same time the desired channel key on the Universal Transmitter. Release both keys as soon as the indicator lamp flashes rapidly.
5. To program two more devices and the next two channels repeat  3 &  4 .

If the original device is a "rolling code" transmitter  : (This step requires two people)

1. Program the Universal Transmitter as described above.
2. Press and hold the programming button on the RECEIVER of the device to be operated until the programming light on the RECEIVER comes on.
3. Press the desired channel key of the BMW Universal Transmitter three times.
