Camber Adjustment: Front
NOTE:
A camber change always involves a toe-in change. Therefore, camber must be adjusted first.
CAUTION:
Changes in axle geometry caused by accidents must never be rectified by camber adjustment.
- Remove centering pin (1). This pin is no longer needed. Remove dirt in area of support bearing in wheel arch from below with compressed air. Slacken nuts (2) approximately 1 1/2 turns. Remove nut (3). See Fig 1.
- Insert special tool (32 3 144/145) into opening of wheel arch and over stay bolt/nut (3). Adjust camber by turning nut. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . Replace nuts (2) and tighten. See Fig 2. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove special tool. Replace nut (3) and tighten down. See Fig 3. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Adjust toe-in. See TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT .
