INFORMATION

Distribution of the following tool will not be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Modification to special tool 90 88 6 323 090 is necessary in order to prevent damage to the E46 ball joint boot and stainless steel washer.

Ball joint press modification

This tool is used to remove the control arm Disassembling . Refer to repair manual section 31 21 080.

The modification pertains only to the lower section of the tool (PN 323 092). The opening is enlarged to 27.5mm and a chamfer (1) 1.5mm deep and at a 45 angle is applied.
