SUBJECT
Battery Draw Since An iPod Was Installed
SITUATION
Vehicle will not start. Battery has discharged since an iPod was installed in the vehicle.
The iPod may be connected or disconnected.
CAUSE
Synchronization error between the ALPINE CD53 radio and the iPod interface.
CORRECTION
On a customer complaint basis only, replace the iPod Interface. The improved iPod Interface Gen2 has HW 2.0 and SW 2.0.
