Antenna Systems: Notes

The E46 radio systems are equipped with an antenna diversity system to provide the sound system with the best possible radio signal. This is achieved by the use of multiple antennae which are interconnected by the diversity module. Each antenna (depending upon application) has its own amplifier to improve signal strength.

The diversity module will select and lock on to the strongest signal and send information to the radio receiver.
