SITUATION
Distribution of the following tools will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional tools may be purchased through your PDC. All prices on this bulletin are introductory prices and are only valid during the Automatic Tool Shipment.
Application note : Never use an air impact driver on the spring compressor as damage can result. Instead, use a hand ratchet or a geared electric drill with a low range such as the Milwaukee Hole Hawg (model 1675-6) manufactured by Milwaukee Electric Tool corp. Information regarding sales centers for Milwaukee Electric tool can be found on the web at www.mil-electric-tool.com or call 262 781 3600. Always use the BMW Spring Compressor in accordance with use and safety procedures as stated in the BMW repair instructions. Never try to use or repair a damaged tool .

Used in conjunction with 313 381 to protect the spring. Always replace the insert if worn or damaged. Refer to repair manual section 31 31 031.
