Car phone Professional: Telematics: Notes
The scope of use of telematics depends on the special equipment installed.
In vehicles with the EURO national version, the option 638 "Car phone Professional" is only available in combination with option 609 "Navigation system Professional".
If option 612 "BMW Assist" is installed, the range of possible uses is expanded. If this special equipment is installed, the following telematics services can be used:
- Manual emergency call, using either the Bluetooth handset or the emergency button
- Automatic emergency call:
- Breakdown call (only with option 612 BMW Assist with contract)
If the option 609 "Navigation system Professional" is not installed, an emergency call can only be made manually on the Bluetooth handset: Enter the national emergency call number (112 in Germany).
NOTE:
Emergency calls are also possible without a SIM card.
