32 31 090 Removing and installing complete steering column: Notes
Disconnect negative battery lead.
Remove steering wheel, refer to 32 33 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING STEERING WHEEL .
Remove lower trim from instrument panel.
CAUTION:
After installation:
- Carry out steering angle offset for Electronic Damper Control / Dynamic Stability Control, refer to BMW Diagnosis Program.
- Check for freedom of movement over entire adjustment range of steering column to adjoining components/wires.
Take off collar (1).
