Description & Operation: Notes

All models have a 2-speed wiper/washer system, with intermittent feature. Wiper control lever is located on right side of steering column. All models are available with heated washer jets to aid in defrosting windshield and preventing freezing of fluid from washer jets. On 3-series except sedan, wiper/washer system is controlled by solid-state wiper control unit.

On 3-series sedan, 5-series and 7-series, wiper/washer system is controlled by general module of central body electronics. The individual functions can be switched on and off with the combined wiper/washer switch.

If vehicle is equipped with headlight washers, washers will be activated every 5th operation of windshield washers when headlights are on.
