Steering Spindle Lower Section: Notes
CAUTION:
There will no longer be an end stop once the steering spindle has been separated from the steering gear. The steering wheel can be turned without restriction. In order to avoid damaging contact ring in steering column, move steering wheel to straight ahead position. Engage steering lock and remove ignition key.
NOTE:
On 4 wheel drive vehicles, procedure is identical to replacing double joint. See DOUBLE JOINT FOR STEERING SPINDLE LOWER SECTION (4WD) .
