Service Or Refill Procedure

If transmission has been repaired or oil level is low, fill with fluid through transmission filler plug until oil overflows. Start engine with selector lever in "P" position. Turn lights on. Top off transmission until it overflows. Install and tighten filler plug to 74 ft. lbs. (100 N.m). Place gear selector in "P" and start engine. Remove oil filler plug and recheck level as described in CHECKING PROCEDURE.
