Removal & Installation

  1. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE. Remove intake manifold trim cover. Disconnect throttle cable at throttle body. Remove cylinder head cover trim covers on left and right cylinder head. Unplug ignition coils and fuel injectors.
  2. Disconnect fuel lines from fuel rail. Remove fuel rail mounting screws and pull off fuel rail with injectors. To remove injectors from fuel rail, press of injector retaining clips and pull injectors from fuel rail. Test injectors for leakage. Replace and lubricate "O" rings. To install, reverse removal procedure.
