WARNING:
Failure to follow SERVICE PRECAUTIONS may result in air bag deployment and personal injury. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . After component replacement, ensure proper system operation. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . DO NOT
use self-powered ohmmeter or other meter to test resistance of air bag module or any SRS component while system is activated.
CAUTION:
Before disconnecting battery, perform self-diagnostic check to retrieve any stored defect fault codes in SRS. Disconnecting battery will erase SRS defect fault codes. See SRS SELF-DIAGNOSTIC CHECK heading below.
