Gearshift Comfort Control

The gearshift quality is controlled by way of the modulation pressure and the engine intervention function (torque reduction by retarding the ignition timing). The main pressure is constantly calculated by way of an algorithm with tuning-specific parameters (engine torque, differential speed [engine speed difference before and after shifting], output speed and constant pressure component). The signal A/C COMPRESSOR ON/OFF is supplied by the Digital Motor Electronics (DME). The engine torque characteristic map is corrected in order to avoid a loss of gearshift comfort when A/C compressor is switched on.
