Draining & Refilling

  1. With transmission at operating temperature, remove drain plug. Remove oil pan bolts, and lightly tap on pan to break seal loose. Remove oil screen, and clean or replace it as necessary. Tighten oil screen bolts to 44 INCH lbs. (5 N.m).
  2. Clean oil pan, and replace gasket. Dry surfaces using a lint-free towel. Install oil pan. Tighten oil pan bolts to 62-71 INCH lbs. (7-8 N.m). Tighten drain plug to 133-150 INCH lbs. (15-17 N.m). Fill with fluid.
