Ignition Timing Control
Ignition timing is controlled by DME/Motronic control unit. When the DME/Motronic control unit determines that ignition timing is optimum (based on input from various sensors), information supplied by the crankshaft (speed/position pulse) sensor is used to signal ignition firing. The DME/Motronic control unit provides a ground path for ignition coil primary circuit, triggering the secondary circuit.
