DTC 8: Check Engine Light: Troubleshooting

Normally, the CHECK ENGINE light is activated by the control unit (ground signal at pin No. 8) when an emission-related defect code is stored in the defect code memory. See CHECK ENGINE LIGHT  under COMPONENT TESTS.
