Distributor Cap & Rotor

  1. Remove distributor cover. Note location and pull off spark plug cables. Use Water Pump Pulley Holder (11-5-030) and remove LEFT-HAND threaded nut (turn clockwise to unscrew) from cooling fan.
  2. Remove bolts and push up fan cowl. Remove bolts and distributor. Using Allen wrench, remove rotor bolts and rotor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fan nut using 32-mm Fork Wrench (11-5-040) to 29 ft. lbs. (40 N.m). Firing order and cylinder numbers are marked on spark plug cables and cap.
