Throttle Position Switch R & I

  1. Disconnect throttle position switch connector. Remove 4 nuts, throttle body and gasket. Remove 2 screws and throttle position switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
  2. To adjust throttle position switch, connect an ohmmeter between terminals No. 4 and 6. With throttle valve closed, zero (0) ohms should be indicated. With throttle valve wide open, infinite resistance should be indicated.
  3. Leave throttle valve wide open and connect ohmmeter between terminals No. 4 and 5. With throttle valve wide open, zero (0) ohms should be indicated. If readings are not as indicated, loosen screws and turn throttle position switch.
