Speed Sensors

Speed sensors are installed at each wheel. Speed sensors measure the rate at which teeth on a pulse wheel rotate. The sensors then relay a signal to the ECU, which computes the actual wheel speed. The pulse wheels, which run past the permanently magnetized edge of the speed sensor, are integrated in the hub in front and part of the wheel bearing assembly in the rear.
