Steering Column: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten shear-off bolts until heads shear off. Install steering spindle so slot on universal joint is aligned with mark on steering gear. With steering wheel and wheels in straight-head position, marks on housing and steering shaft should be aligned.

To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure wheels are in straight-ahead position. Ensure that spacers are installed at steering column bracket. Universal joint bolt must pass through locking groove on spindle.
