Step 1

Ensure ignition is off, disconnect A8 Cruise Control Module connector X22. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage at connector X22 as in PIN VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS - TABLE 1 .

Check connector X22, terminalNo. 3 wire for open or short.

Selector not in PARK or NEUTRAL

3 & Ground

0 Volts

Check connector X22, terminalNo. 3 wire for a short to battery.
