MOTRONIC Control Unit (MCU)
The MCU receives electronic input signals from several engine sensors. Information supplied by these sensors is used to determine optimum ignition and fuel injection timing, under various operating conditions. An air/fuel ratio of 14.7:1 is maintained under most driving conditions. MCU also controls fuel vapor purge from carbon canister.
NOTE:
Components are grouped into two categories. The first category covers INPUT DEVICES, which control or produce voltage signals monitored by MCU.The second category covers OUTPUT SIGNALS, which are components controlled by the MCU.
