Power Steering Pump: Reassembly

  1. Clean and lubricate all components with hydraulic fluid. Replace shaft seal. Install seal with sealing lip facing inward. Pack lubricant between sealing lip surfaces.
  2. Install shaft in pump body. Install rotor on shaft and ensure circlip recess faces end of shaft. Install circlip. Install impeller blades with rounded, polished surfaces facing cam ring. Ensure impeller moves freely. Install face plate on dowel pins. Install pump body and install pump in vehicle.
