System Automatic Off
The cruise control system is switched off automatically under the following conditions:
- During deceleration.
- When braking.
- When operating the clutch or moving automatic transmission range switch from drive to neutral.
- With automatic transmission range switch in "Park" position
- At a road speed of less than 25 MPH.
- When accelerator pedal is depressed with the cruise control system activated (e.g., in order to accelerate and overtake). Vehicle resumes stored speed after pedal has been released.
- Stored speed is cleared by switching off the ignition.
NOTE:
To avoid delays in system response to commands, an electromagnetic quick-release clutch is installed in the cruise control actuator between the drive and cable assembly.
