Engine Identification

All engines have a serial number stamped on left side of engine block, above starter motor. Engines can also be identified by first 4 numbers in chassis code, stamped on sill above right front wheel on 325 series, 528e, 535 series. Chassis code can be found on firewall on 635CSi and 735i.
