Strut Assembly: Reassembly

  1. If shock absorber is to be replaced, replace shock absorber with same code as original. Fill strut tube with SAE 30 oil. See SHOCK ABSORBER OIL CAPACITY  .
  2. Fit shock absorber into tube and tighten threaded ring. Use a rubber ring with 2 beads for coil springs with Red color code. Ends of coil spring must rest on shoulders of lower and upper spring retainers. To complete reassembly, reverse disassembly procedure.
