Cruise Control Systems: Operation

Pushing the control stick away from the driver ("CONSTANT" position) and immediately releasing sets present speed in system's memory. Holding the stick in "CONSTANT" position accelerates vehicle speed, without touching accelerator. Releasing the stick sets the new speed in system's memory.

Vehicle speed will be maintained within 1 MPH of set speed until new speed is selected, brake or clutch pedal is depressed, system is turned off, transmission is shifted from "D" to "N", or if actual vehicle speed is 15% less than speed in system's memory.

Pulling stick to "RESUME" position, recalls last "memorized" speed in system's memory. Moving the stick up or down turns the cruise control system off. The "memorized" speed will not be erased from memory until ignition is turned off.
