Engine Identification

On 535i, 635CSi, 735i and L7 models, displacement and identification numbers are on top rear of engine block on bellhousing flange.

CAUTION: Before performing any work on vehicles equipped with Supplemental Restaint System (SRS), disconnect SRS control unit. Use EXTREME  caution when testing or repairing any electrical equipment on or around steering column (air bag might deploy).
