WARNING:
Failure to follow SERVICE PRECAUTIONS may result in air bag deployment and personal injury. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS
. After component replacement, ensure proper system operation. Perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK. If SRS light comes on while driving or a fault code is suspected, see SRS SELF- DIAGNOSTIC CHECK
. NEVER use self-powered ohmmeter or other meter to test resistance of air bag module, or any SRS component while system is activated.
CAUTION:
Before disconnecting battery, perform self-diagnostic check to read and record any stored fault codes in SRS. Disconnecting battery will erase SRS fault codes. See SRS SELF-DIAGNOSTIC CHECK heading below.
