Piston & Rod Assembly: Installation

Place rings on piston with marking "TOP" facing upward and ring end gaps 180° apart. Install piston with arrow facing forward and oil hole in wrist pin end of connecting rod facing timing chain. Ensure connecting rod and bearing cap numbers match, with No. 1 rod nearest the timing chain.
