-- Move The Selector Lever Into "N".
-- Turn Off The Ignition.
-- Remove The Air Filter Housing. Refer To AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (DSNA) , or AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (DSPA) .
Risk Of Damaging The Selector Mechanism By Incorrectly Installing The Selector Lever.
- Do Not Press The Locking Button On The Selector Lever Handle.
-- Pry The Selector Lever Cable -1- Off The Selector Shaft Lever -2- Using For Example An Open End Wrench.
-- Disconnect The Connector -6- For The Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125- And Free Up The Wire On The Bracket.
-- Remove The Bolts -5- For The Cable Bracket -4-. Do Not Remove The Lock Washer -3-.
-- Remove The Nut -1-.
-- Remove The Spring Washer -2- And The Selector Lever -3- From The Selector Shaft -4-.
-- Bend Back The Hooks On The Lock Washer -2- Using A Screwdriver.
-- Replace The Lock Washer If A Hook Breaks Off.
-- Remove The Nut -1-.
-- Remove The Bolt -5-.
-- Remove The Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -4- With The Washers -2 And 3- From The Selector Shaft -6-.
