Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing
If the control module is replaced, the test plan to replace the control module must be performed.
-- Perform the "control module, replacing" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ENTRY .
-- Remove the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the left and right air ducts to the center console. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR .
-- Disconnect the connectors from the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1-.
-- Insert the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps: VAS6223/9 -1- into the MOST bus connector -2-.
-- Unclip the bracket -4- and pivot the wiring harness to the side.
-- Insert the two clips of the Radio Removal Tool: T10057 into the slits -arrows-.
Conditions
- Tips on the grip eyelets of the removal tool face outward.
- The clips of the removal tool must engage.
-- Remove the control module -1- at the grip eyelets of the removal tool.
-- Press the locking tabs on the control module to remove the removal tool.
Remove the control module bracket
-- Remove the left and right bolts -5-.
-- Remove the bolts -2-.
-- Disengage the retaining straps -3- and remove the bracket -6-.
