Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Check the steering column for damage. Refer to STEERING COLUMN, CHECKING FOR DAMAGE .

-- Tighten the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- with new shear bolts -2 and 3- evenly until the bolt heads break off.

-- If the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- was replaced, it must be activated by selecting the "Replace" function in "Guided Functions"  . Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
