Engine, Securing To Engine And Transmission Holder

Procedure 

• The transmission is separated from the engine. Refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .

-- Remove the intermediate plate. Refer to Fig 4.

-- Remove the left alignment sleeve from the cylinder block.

-- Engage the Engine Sling: 2024A  -item 1- as shown on the engine lifting eye and on the Workshop Crane: VAS 6100  -item 2-.

-- Insert the securing pins -arrows- to secure the mounting hooks and alignment pins.

-- Secure the engine to the Engine and Gearbox Bracket: VAS 6095A  -item 1-.

Assembling 

Assemble in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Insert the left alignment sleeve at the cylinder block.

-- Install the intermediate plate. Refer to Fig 5.
