Engine, Removing From Scissor Lift Table

Procedure

CAUTION:

There is a risk of injury from the lifted engine/motor falling.

The possibility for parts of the body to be pinched or crushed increases.

- Secure the mounting hooks and pins on the lifting tackle with a securing pin.

-- Engage the Engine Sling: 2024A  -1- as shown on the engine lifting eye and on the Workshop Crane: VAS6100  -2-.

-- Insert the securing pins -arrows- to secure the mounting hooks and alignment pins.

CAUTION:

Risk of injury due to the engine weight shifting.

The possibility for parts of the body to be pinched or crushed increases.

- Transport the engine only without the transmission using the method described.

-- Tension the engine slightly with the shop crane, but do not lift.

-- Remove the Articulated Joint Support: VAS6131/13-7  from the engine.

-- Lift the engine using the workshop crane.
