ATF Circuit, Bleeding

• Wear protective eyewear.

-- Check the ATF level and fill as described. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING .

-- Perform road test and at the same time the ATF temperature must reach at least 90° C (194° F) to bleed the ATF circuit.

When air escapes the ATF circuit, the ATF level in the transmission decreases. Therefore, the ATF level must be checked again later after the fluid cools.

-- Let the ATF cool down to 30° C (86° F).

-- Check the ATF level again. Refer to Checking .
