Overview - Fuel Delivery Unit/Fuel Level Sensor

1. Delivery Line
   • Do not kink
   • Clipped to the fuel delivery unit
   • To remove, press the catch
2. Suction Jet Pipe
   • Do not kink
   • Connector coupling, separating and connecting. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .
3. Fuel Supply Line
   • To the engine
   • Do not kink
   • Connector coupling, separating and connecting. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .
4. Fuel Level Sensor -G-
   • For checking the resistance values. Refer to fuel Level Sensor -G-, Checking .
   • Removing and installing. Refer to fuel Level Sensor - G-, Removing And Installing .
5. Fuel Delivery Unit
   • With Transfer Fuel Pump -G6-
   • Check the electric fuel pump using Guided Fault Finding  see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
   • Removing and installing. Refer to Fuel Delivery Unit/Fuel Level Sensor, Removing And Installing .
   • Fill the fuel tank with at least 5 liters (5.28 qts) of fuel after installing
6. Seal
   • Replace
   • Install dry
7. Locking Ring
   • 110 Nm
   • Loosen and tighten using the : T10202 
8. Connector
   • For the Transfer Fuel Pump -G6- and the Fuel Level Sensor -G-
9. Fuel Line
   • To the engine
   • Do not kink
   • Connector coupling, separating and connecting. Refer to Connector Couplings, Separating .
   • Clipped to the fuel tank
10. Connector
    • For the Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-
11. Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-
    • Checking in Guided Functions  using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to fuel Pump Control Module -J538-, Removing And Installing .
12. Connector
    • For Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-
13. Locking Ring
    • 110 Nm
    • Loosen and tighten using the : T10202 
14. Seal
    • Replace
    • Install dry
15. Sealing Flange
    • With the following components
      • Fuel pressure regulator
      • Suction jet pump
      • Fuel filter
    • The components cannot be replaced separately
    • Removing and installing. Refer to sealing Flange, Removing And Installing .
16. Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-
    • For checking the resistance values. Refer to fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-, Checking .
    • Removing and installing. Refer to fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-, Removing And Installing .
