- Communication takes place via the data bus-Comfort.

- The ignition lock is electronic, which is connected to body control module 2 via a LIN-bus.
- The ignition lock must be adapted if it is replaced because it transmits the immobilizer information from the key.

- The electronic steering column lock is connected to body control module 2 with the same LIN-bus as the ignition lock and does not have its own diagnosis address. It must be adapted to the immobilizer if it is replaced.
- The diagnosis is performed by address 05 - access/start authorization.
- The electronic steering column lock can be replaced separately without having to remove the steering column.
