Multimedia System Control Head -E380- In Center Console, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment and remove the ignition key.
The four spring tabs secure the Multimedia System Control Head -E380- in the center console.
The surfaces can get scratched very easily. Carefully tape off all surfaces and sections!
Vehicles With Manual Transmission
-- Fold The Selector Lever Boot Upward Over The Gearshift Knob. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Vehicles With DSG Transmission
-- Fold the selector lever boot upward over the selector lever handle. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Display Unit -Y26-. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER TRANSMISSION RANGE POSITION DISPLAY UNIT -Y26-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Continuation For All Vehicles
-- Remove The Center Console Trim Panel. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE DECORATIVE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Push the :3409 Left & Right carefully between the Multimedia System Control Head -E380- -1- and the center console -2- until the four spring tabs loosen. Remove the Multimedia System Control Head -E380- -1- upward in direction of -arrows- from the center console -2-.
Pay attention to the different wire lengths to the connectors!
-- Release and disconnect the connector from the rear side of the Multimedia System Control Head -E380- -1-.
-- Remove the installed switch. Refer to CONTROLS .
