Installation is carried out in the reverse order while observing the following.
Replace the condensation water drain if the plastic ring is damaged.
Caulk the plastic ring with silicon if it is loose.
-- Note the installed location when attaching the plastic ring:
- The plastic ring tab -1- must be positioned between both of the condensation water drain markings -arrows-.
-- Guide the condensation water drain -7- into the mount and lock it in, so that the tabs -5- reach into the opening -6-.
-- Insert the condensation water drain -1- into the body opening and press it in until it audibly engages.
- The guide tab -2- must be on the outside of the body -3- as shown in the illustration.
If the grommet on the battery cavity is not completely caulked, caulk this position with for example Silicone Adhesive :D 176 001 A3 .
The adhesive surface must be clean and free of grease when applying the silicone adhesive.
-- Check that the condensation water drain is in the correct position.
- The tab -8- must face the seam -4- in the mount.
Restart High Voltage System
-- Turn on the ignition.
-- After installing, check and, if necessary, erase the displayed faults in the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory for the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head and the Battery Regulation Control Module -J840-. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
