Overview - Microphone Unit
One microphone (Interior Microphone -R74-) is connected directly to the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525-. The other microphones are connected to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.
For IW1/IW3, the Left Front Microphone -R140- is connected to the Data Bus on Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- /Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- and is >>looped through<< to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.
From 11/2016, the Emergency Call Module Microphone -R321- is installed instead of the Right Front Microphone -R141- for vehicles with IW1/IW3. The Emergency Call Module Microphone -R321- is connected to the Data Bus on Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- /Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- and is >>looped through<< to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.
