Overview - Navigation System

The navigation system is available as pre-installed navigation equipment versions "ready 4 nav" (7UH), Navigation Standard (7UF) and MMI Navigation plus (7UG).

The navigation system is part of the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- inside the glove compartment.

On the pre-installed navigation "ready 4 nav" (7UH), all components are installed for navigation (Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- with GPS Antenna -R50-). The SD memory card does not contain the navigation data.

On the pre-installed navigation "ready 4 nav" (7UH), all components are installed for navigation (Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- with GPS Antenna -R50-). The navigation data is not provided on the SD card and the software-side activation is in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

For the MMI navigation plus (7UG), the navigation data is stored on an internal hard drive disc (HDD).

Fault Finding is performed using the "Guided Fault Finding"  on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Repairing antenna wires. Refer to ANTENNA WIRES, REPAIRING .
